This week we get a chance to talk to Jared Van Hees of The Habitat Podcast about the basics of starting a food plot with whatever tools that you have at your disposal and how to make that food plot as effective as possible.  Jared talks us through not only how to look at a property to maximize your ability to make your management work for you, but also how to make sure that all of  your hard work is not wasted.  We talk through the steps to ensure that the results from your food plot will be as good as mother nature will allow.  We also talk about the practice of hinge cutting, and the different methods of doing so that will provide different advantages to both the deer and the landowner.  Jared runs the webshow Outdoor Devotion, The Habitat Podcast an is also a featured hunter with Michigan Whitetail Pursuit.
