This week Adam and John Talk with one of the original owners of Trophyline Tree Saddles Sherry Green Mullins as well as Shawn Ferguson one of the new owners to brought Trophyline back into the market. Sherry is the daughter of the inventor of the tree saddle and has done a ton to set the foundation for todays saddle hunting community. Shawn is a longtime saddle hunter and friend of the Green family who, along with a few others, was able to bring the originators of the trees saddle back as a viable option for todays saddle hunter.

Bowhunter Chronicles Podcast Episode 83: The Mind of a Killer – Joe Rentmeester
This week Adam talks with two time Public Land Challenge Champion and Hunting Beast team member Joe Rentmeester. Joe is one of those unsung guys who continues to kill big bucks no matter where he is, and no mater what adversity he faces. The past two years in the company of incredible hunters who traveled out of state to places that they had never set foot on prior to the hunt, Joe was able to locate and kill a mature whitetail no matter the circumstances. This year in his home state of Wisconsin Joe spooked the buck he would end up killing the next day, and rather than pout and throw in the towel he adjusted to prior knowledge and went in an shot that buck in his bed. In Michigan despite pouring rain and flooded lands, he was able to, on the same day that a group of hunters walked right under his tree, get down, make a move and harvest a mature Michigan whitetail. Joe walks us through these hunts and what kept him going and what his thought processes were in situations where a lot of guys would have given up. Krissy epitomizes a true outdoorsman with both her outlook on hunting as well as her motivations. We talk about the differences in expectations for male and female hunters, the new bow tech lineups and Krissy also shares the story of her giant 2019 Oregon mule deer.

This week Adam talks with Josh Smith from Wild Carrot Scents about the uses and differences between different deer scents. Josh and his family had been harvesting the tarsal glands, bladders and urine from deer they had harvested each year and began packaging it up for friends and future use. Their products became so popular amongst the recipients that they were urged into creating a process to bring it to the public, so that’s exactly what they did. Their products can be found in most local bow shops, on their website and on amazon.
